Jim and Kay McCloskey Testimonial
Caring, professional, consistent, dedicated, knowledgeable, committed, reliable, lifesaving/extending – those are the adjectives we would use to describe Prolific Motion’s health care trainer Jonathan Leeper . My husband has been under his care for four months, five days a week and he has improved from needing a wheel chair, not being able to roll over or stand to get out of bed by himself, to his current status being able to walk around the house with a walker. I have no doubt that Jonathan’s therapy and work with him has extended my husband’s life span and certainly greatly enhanced his quality of life. We are so thankful for Jonathan’s selfless dedication and commitment to caring for people.
In 2012 My husband was diagnosed with a curable tumor that would require 3 chemo treatments followed by radiation. At the end of his chemo and before he started radiation he fell and needed surgery for a sub-dural hematoma. After 6 weeks in a rehab hospital he did 6 weeks of ratiation therapy. That was followed by physical therapy through home health care where he managed to regain his mobility, however when he no longer qualified there was no service to provide the same treatment at home. Even with outpatient physical therapy at a rehab clinic he wasn’t able to maintain his mobility and balance for a long term. After he experienced cycles of falling, two rehabilitation hospital stays, home health care, falling, rehabilitation hospital stay and, again, home health care we were at our wits end for a solution. It was obvious from these experiences that he needed daily exercise in a home environment. As his primary caretaker I had had rotator cuff surgery and couldn’t/shouldn’t be doing lifting. Bathing was also an issue because of the potential for both of us falling in a glass shower. Early on in discussing this situation with our physician, he had spoken of two young men who were had started a business offering the kind of service we outlined. Once we contacted them they scheduled a home visit immediately. We knew what my husband needed and they began a program right away. Jonathan comes Monday through Friday and does balance and physical therapy with him. We have been excited about the program’s availability and the results. As we age when selecting health professionals to work with – you also consider THEIR age – they’ll be with us for as long as we’re around. For that we are thankful.
